August Stamp Club and Workshop Projects

Hi Stampers
Here are the items we will be making this month in my workshops and clubs.  The first project is a Halloween Candy Holder.  It uses the new paper pack Scaredy Cat and the August 2014 stamp of the month What a Hoot.

This owl is so cute.  The wings, mask, and hat are popped up using 3-D foam tape.  I also added googlie eyes to make it even more silly.  I colored in the sentiment using colored pencils.  This is very similar to the Halloween Treat Bag kit that you can by on page 159 of the new catalog, if you don't want to make your own.
List of items used:
S1408 What a Hoot SOTM stamp set
X7185B Scaredy Cat Paper pack
Z1919 Purple shimmer trim
Z3011 Scaredy Cat Assortment (black star)
3505 Watercolor Pencils

The second project we will be making is this cute Halloween Card using the Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set and the Scaredy Cat paper pack.
Here is what is stamped on the inside of the card:
This is a standard A2 size card base.  I used the edge distresser on the papers before I glued them down to give the edge a little more dimension.  I also used 3-D foam tape on the circles, and the Eek! and Boo! images to raise them up a bit.
List of items used:
B1460 Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set
D1560 Holiday Tags stamp set for inside sentiment
X7185B Scaredy Cat Paper
Z1919 Purple Shimmer Trim
Z3011 Scaredy Cat Assortment (black star)
Z1752 Clear Sparkles

Happy Early Halloween!

Easter Projects

Hi Stampers

Here are the projects that we will be making at my Stamp Clubs and Stamp Workshops the month of March.

The first one is this Easter Basket made using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. It is the Strawberry box on page 73, and I cut it at 2 1/4" (fit to page). It will allow two baskets from each 12x12 sheet of cardstock. I did cut the handle larger at 2 1/2". The bow is also from the same cartridge, page 55, cut at 1 1/4" (real dial size). The small flower on the center of the bow is from page 32, cut at 1" (real dial size). The paper pack is the Lollydoodle paper.

This is one of the cards.  It is a standard size A2 card using the Lollydoodle paper pack, a sheet from the Timberline paper pack, and the Happy Easter B1423 stamp set.

This is the sentiment on the inside of the card.  It is from a retired stamp set D1259 Eastertime.
Here is the final card we will be making.  It is more of a classical Easter card.  I cut out the egg shapes using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  Page 57, it is , cut at 3 1/2" white cardstock and one at 3 3/4" from black cardstock.  Then I made a mask of a cross, and used sponges to add color to the white cardstock.  First Honey ink, then Sunset ink, then Cotton Candy ink.  Then using black ink I stamped the swirl images from C1463 Harvest Happiness stamp set.  The sentiment "Easter Wishes" is from the retired set 1415 Springtime.

It is hard to tell in the picture, but the egg shape is popped up using 3-D foam tape.  I left the inside blank on this one.

Thanks for looking - have a Happy Easter!

February Workshop and Club Projects

Hi Stampers
Here are the two projects that we will be creating this month in my workshops and at my clubs.

The first on is a standard size birthday card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") using the adorable February stamp of the month Wild about Love stamp set.  We will also use the new Skylark paper pack.

Our second project is this fun pop-up box card.  The original tutorial for this was on Split Coast Stampers Site.  I changed the size so that it will fit in a 5x7 envelope when it is folded flat for mailing.  I used the same February stamp of the month set and the Skylark Paper on this one too.
Here it is when it is opened.  It stands on it's own and the cute foxes pop out.

Here is a close up of the pop up part:
If you live in the area and are interested in signing up for a workshop, just email me.  You can look at my calendar tab to see the dates and times.

January 2014 club and workshop projects

Hi Stampers
I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I should post what we made for January 2014 at my clubs and workshops.  We made two cards and a kisses holder for Valentine's Day.

The first is the kisses holder.  It holds 4 Hershey's Kisses Candies.
Here is the front view.  It is approx. 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" on the front side.

Here is the back view.

And finally here is the side view, showing the Hershey's Kisses Candies.

I used the January Stamp of the Month:  S1401 Cross-Stitch Wishes stamp set.  I also used the D1560 Holiday Tags stamp set for the frame and sentiment on the back.  The paper is the cute Chantilly Paper pack X7163B.

The base is:
White Daisy Cardstock 3 ½” x 6”
score along long edge at 3 ½”, 4 ½”, and 5 5/8”

Use a little Tombow Adhesive to keep the kisses in place.

Then we made this Adorable Airplane card.  It is a standard A2 card at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" with the fold across the top.

Here is the inside sentiment.

I used the C1570 Lifting Spirits stamp set.  For the inside sentiment I used the D1560 Holiday Tags set again.  It is an easy card to make using mostly white daisy cardstock, a little lagoon for the mat and the three washi tapes.  Z1933 Ruby Chevron, Z1850 Lagoon Houndstooth, and Z1817 Slate Polka-dot.

The last card we made was this Love You card.  It is 4" x 4" square card with the fold on top.

This card base is the Colonial White cardstock and we used the pretty X7170B Laughing Lola Paper Pack.  The stamp set is from the January Special "Cloud Nine" kit.  I also used the Z1920 1" wide gold polka-dot washi tape, Z1918 Teal Shimmer Trim, and Z1928 Triangle Studs.  They came in the Cloud Nine Kit, but you can also order them from the new Spring/Summer Idea Book starting in February.

Have a "Lovely" Day!

August Stamp Club and Workshop Projects

Hi Stampers
Here is a sample of what we will be making this month in my Stamp Clubs and Workshops.  We will be using the August stamp of the month: A chocolate Affair stamp set and the new Baby Cakes paper pack.  I just love those polka-dots and the colors match M&M candies perfectly, so we will be filling our candy shaped boxes with M&M's.

The first is a standard sized card.  I used the card design #24 (pg 44) from the CTMH Make it From Your Heart Volume 2 pattern book.  I used the Baby Cakes paper pack, Brown Glitter paper, and Color-ready seam binding Ribbon.  See the description below on the candy box to see how I made the chocolate look glossy.

I decorated the inside also:

We will also be making the cute candy shaped box.  I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut out the box (size 6")  Then I punched out two size scallop circles using my Marvy Punches (but you could also cut these out with the cricut).  I really liked the cute cupcake image so I wanted to use that.  I stamped in in Chocolate ink on Colonial white cardstock, then stamped it in Sunset ink on a scrap piece of cardstock, then to give it that glossy look I stamped over the chocolate ink using clear Versamark ink then added clear embossing powder and used the heat gun to melt.  I used scissors to cut out the sunset cupcake paper cup part and glued it on top of the cupcake.  I added a clear sparkle to the cherry on top.  For the flag I just hand cut the "V" shape at the end and bent it in a wavy pattern.

If you are interested in joining a club or just attending a workshop please contact me by email at debistampnfun@hotmail.com.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

May Projects for workshops and clubs

Hi Stampers
Here are the projects that we will be making this month at my workshops and clubs.
The first one is a Father's Day card using the May stamp of the month Pinwheels.  The Pinwheel actually spins when you pull the string.

The second project is a goodie bag for "Dad's Stache"  using the large paper pouches.

The paper that I used for these is from the Dakota Paper pack with the wood grain on one side and the houndstooth on the other.  I also used a little of the Honey colored pattern paper from Tommy for the yellow flag.
Stamp set used are the may Stamp of the Month Pinwheels and the Perfect fit - Dad set. for the stache and the world's greatest dad.  The polka dot in slate is the Washi Tape, so fun to use.

Here is a little video showing the pinwheel spinning when you pull the string.
